• Director of Rugby – Donald Reid
Donald joined the coaching set up in the latter stages of the 2007/08 campaign, working successfully with the late Gordon Mackay to help the 1stXV climb out of the relegation zone. Donald & Gordon worked well as a partnership and set out clear goals for the club in the coming seasons. With Gordon’s untimely death in July 2008….Donald looked to maintain the values and goals he & Gordon had put in place and agreed to take up the role of Director of Rugby. He remains involved in the coaching of the backline and provides vital leadership for all players at the club.
Donald is an Accie through and through….having played and coached at the club in recent decades. He brings an ‘old school’ approach in terms of discipline and leadership which helps players both in training the build up to and preparation for match days.

• Weight Training and Conditioning Coach – Duncan Beattie
Duncan has been associated with the Rugby Club as a player, then as 1stXV Coach and now as the Weight Training and Conditioning Coach for over 20years. When the Sports Club identified the need for a more purpose built weights room back in 2006, one of the squash courts was converted into a weights facility which has been extensively used by all sections of the Sports Club.
However in the last year Duncan has been working closely with the SRU to obtain equipment and assistance to develop a facility which is now used by club, district and national players in the game. Duncan has obtained the necessary coaching standards and can offer advice on training schedules to any interested parties.
