Glasgow Accies Rugby Club

STOP PRESS 28TH JAN

Dear Supporter,

Unfortunately the weather has taken its toll even down at the coast and the game is OFF.

The 2nd XV game against West is also OFF.

Next Saturday is a stand by day but we play England at 5pm so we will wait and see what we are given.

Have a good day and I will be in touch with further news.

Please note that despite the call off this evening there will be a special Club night with a flavour of Burns and an open mike for the true spirit of the Bard to be celebrated. Every good Burns night needs haggis pakora and haggis curry supplied by Punjabi Fusion Restaurant. Kick off 7pm., please come and support it and all are welcome.

Due to the bar refurbishment during February we will be arranging a lunch upstairs for the home game against Allan Glens on 18th Feb. So please mark this in your diary and come and join us. After the works are complete we are trying to arrange a friendly match to celebrate the completion which will be largely sponsored by the Gordon MacKay Trust and this will be before the end of the season.  More news to follow.

Regards

Gavin Smith

Generations of support from Gibsons

Glasgow Accies Rugby Section are delighted to be associated with Gibson Pension & Invetsments for season 2011-12.  Father Brian has been a great supporter of Anniesland rugby for many years and now siblings Kerr and Pippa are keen to follow on the great Gibson tradition.  The photo shows Chairman Gavin Smith with Kerr and Pippa and young Harry, the start of the third generation of Accie followers.

Pippa has also been very generous to the girl's hockey section, having been a keen player not so long ago.

We are indebted to the many sponsors that we have, even the smallest contribution is very important to the smooth running of the section.
